PHILZ GAMING SETUP

I built my current gaming PC about 6 years ago but that was just the beginning of my setup. I've upgraded or swapped out a ton of stuff over the years. The room is now a dual-use space for work and gaming with side-by-side desks for me and my girlfriend. (I had left corporate jobs in the PC hardware industry about 2 years ago and now we are both self employed.)

I am nerdier about hardware selection than most, and some of my choices are uncommon so I'll include a note about each one.

Some of my gear is budget, and some of its super high-end. That just depends on the features im looking for (or whatever hobby rabbit hole I've fallen into at the time). I'll also include a similar “budget” recommendation that will let you achieve a similar result.
